Job Description Authorized Factory Service has an immediate opening for a qualified KITCHEN APPLIANCE SERVICE TECHNICIAN in the greater metro Detroit, Ann Arbor, Flint and Howell areas. Specific product training available. We offer competitive wages and a variety of benefits.
Job Requirements One year training program degree or refrigeration certification plus 3 years experience in appliance and refrigeration repair required. Job duties require reading, mathematical, verbal and written communications skills at an advanced level. Physical requirements include ability to bend, lift, and twist while servicing appliances. Daily travel in our home area. Van provided.
Additional Candidate will undergo drug screening, pass an employment test and undergo a reference or security check. Must have a clean driving record.

Kitchen Appliance Installer

Job Description Authorized Factory Service and Installation has an immediate opening for a qualified KITCHEN APPLIANCE INSTALLER. Experience installing ranges, refrigerators, laundry, dishwashers, and ventilation helpful. Specific product training available. Electrical, plumbing and carpentry skills a plus. This position provides installation services from pre-site inspection to job completion.
Job requirements Job duties require reading, mathematical, verbal and written communications skills at an advanced level. Trade school education and on the job experience is required. Three years experience is preferred however willing to train the right candidate.
Additional Candidate will undergo drug screening, pass an employment test and undergo a reference or security check. Must have a clean driving record.Physical Requirements – Bending, lifting, and twisting with up to 50 lbs is necessary on a frequent basis.

Product Specifier

Job Description Seeking an energetic Product Specifier  out of our CLEVELAND office and showroom to work with and educate architects, builders and designers in the Northern Ohio sales territory representing top of the line kitchen appliance brands – Sub Zero refrigerators, Wolf ranges, Cove dishwashers, Asko dishwashers and laundry, Scotsman icemakers, and Best hoods. Experience in the kitchen appliance marketing field a benefit. Kitchen design or interior design background helpful.
Job requirements Promote product to outside non-dealer market – Develop a data base of architects and builders- Contact, distribute and maintain product binders for target groups- Coordinate training and sales demos with key specifiers, designers and architects- Create mass mailers related to upcoming product and training events- Attend ASID, NKBA and BIA events

Education – Gain a thorough understanding of current brands – Training provided- Research competitive brands to compare to distributed brands

Dealers – Assist with dealer displays and accessorize as needed- Inform sales representatives and dealers of current projects in the field

Projects – Provide bid pricing for mass projects and personal use purchases- Manage participation in trade shows- Maintain traveling displays, literature and other materials to be displayed at trade shows- Attend trade shows and home shows.

Showroom Responsibilities – Assist consumers in product selection- Support showroom events and initiatives

Corporate Initiatives – Work with Corporate Sales Manager and Sales team on various initiatives- Promote Resale inventory

This position requires excellent communication skills, Microsoft Office experience, and strong organizational skills. The position will require LOCAL travel 50% of the time with some overnight travel throughout the year.

Additional Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm but may vary based on appointments and events. Employee benefits include vacation, personal time, health, dental and vision insurance, 401k with match and Aflac based on eligibility.
